Why do we need oil analysis and online monitoring?
Key components or links:
Gearbox
The gearbox of the wind turbine generator is the core component of the entire system, responsible for converting the low-speed rotation of the wind wheel into high-speed rotation to drive the generator. The lubricating oil inside the gearbox is subject to extremely high mechanical loads and temperature changes, so the quality requirements of the oil are very high.
Bearings
The main shaft of the wind turbine, generator bearings and other parts need to be lubricated to reduce friction and wear. The lubrication state of the bearing directly affects the operating stability and life of the wind turbine.
Hydraulic system
Some wind turbines are equipped with a hydraulic system to control the angle of the blades (pitch system) to ensure that the wind turbine maintains optimal efficiency at different wind speeds
Why is monitoring necessary?
Extend equipment life
Oil analysis can detect lubricant aging, contamination, and metal wear particles in a timely manner, and take measures to replace lubricants or repair parts in advance to avoid equipment damage caused by poor lubrication.
Improve reliability
Wind turbines are usually located in remote areas, with high maintenance costs and difficulties. Through online monitoring, early warning can be given before problems occur, reducing unplanned downtime and improving system reliability and availability.
Optimize maintenance strategies
Based on the results of oil analysis, a scientific maintenance plan can be formulated to avoid excessive or insufficient maintenance and reduce maintenance costs.
The risks of not monitoring your oil
Gearbox failure
Hydraulic system failure
Bearing damage
Increased maintenance costs
Monitoring solutions provided by Yateks to customers
YOL online oil monitoring system
YOL online oil monitoring system integrates a variety of advanced online oil monitoring sensors, which can monitor lubricating oil viscosity, density, temperature, dielectric constant, water activity (correlated calculation of trace water), oil metal abrasive particles, oil contamination sensors and other lubricating oil monitoring physical and chemical indicators. The system integrates data management and intelligent operation and maintenance systems.
YOW series wind power sensor
YOW series wind power oil sensor can monitor multiple oil status monitoring parameters such as ferromagnetic and non-ferromagnetic wear particles, viscosity, density, trace water content, water activity (calculation of trace water content), temperature, etc., and can be equipped with dielectric constant and free water detection components, so as to complete the integrated detection task of gearbox mechanical wear status and lubricating oil characteristics of oil.
Yateks Cloud Platform
Based on sensor technology, data acquisition, big data analysis and cloud services, the Yatai Oil and Fluid Cloud Platform deploys a distributed state monitoring system to implement intelligent monitoring and control applications of the Industrial Internet of Things, and realizes functions such as abnormal warning of online oil and fluid monitoring data, data trend management and remote equipment management, so that equipment operation and maintenance can be fully improved in terms of effectiveness, economy and safety.
